Nassau County Crime Victims Program

The Nassau County Crime Victims Program informs crime victims of services available, assists them in obtaining needed services, and acts as an advocate for victims and their families.

It helps crime victims in applying to the New York State Crime Victims Board in order to assist with crime related medical expenses, burial expenses, loss of earnings, loss of support and loss or damage to essential personal property.

Additional services offered by the Crime Victims Program include:

• referrals to other crime victim service providers
• referrals for counseling
• hospital, home and funeral home visits
• meetings with victims or their families
• emergency locksmith services
• accompanyment for Court appearances
