MANGANO ANNOUNCES WARMING CENTERS AND WARMBED HOTLINE

Mineola, NY - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto announced today that the following warming stations will be open today from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 P.M. due to the frigid temperatures:

• HICKSVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER, 28 W. CARL ST, HICKSVILLE

• OYSTER BAY COMMUNITY CENTER, CHURCH STREET, OYSTER BAY

• MARJORIE R POST COMMUNITY CENTER, 451 UNQUA RD, MASSAPEQUA

In addition, County Executive would like to remind residents that our WARMBED program is up and running through March 31, 2013. Any homeless person needing shelter can call 1-866-WARMBED (1 866 927 6233). The WARMBED program is operational evenings and weekends. During weekday hours, homeless individuals should routinely go to DSS at 60 Charles Lindbergh Blvd., Uniondale, NY.
