Beaches Closed to Bathing

Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health has closed the following 14 beaches to bathing as a precautionary measure, effective today, July 19, 2012. Storm water runoff can have a negative impact by elevating bacterial levels and affecting bathing water quality.

6. North Hempstead Beach Park
7. Piping Rock Beach Club
8. Prybil Beach
9. Ransom Beach
10. Roosevelt Beach
11. Sea Cliff Village Beach
12. Soundside Beach
13. Stehli Beach
14. Tappen Beach
