African American Heritage Celebrated at Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) joined County Executive Tom Suozzi on the stage of Eisenhower Park’s Lakeside Theater for this summer’s celebration of African American culture, heritage and achievements. African American Night was in the series of cultural celebrations held this year in the park. Joining Legislator Abrahams were: Dwayne Johnson, of Canon, Inc., the 2009 Eisenhower Park Lakeside Theatre Free Summer Concert series sponsor;  Village of Freeport Mayor Andrew Hardwick; County Legislator Roger Corbin (D-Westbury); County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick); Carrie Solages of the County Commission on Human Rights; and Village of Hempstead trustee Don Ryan.
