Legislator Abrahams Encourages Residents to Utilize New Out Stationing Center in

Westbury for Nassau County Social Services

Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) encourages residents to utilize the new Department of Social Services document drop-off out station at the Westbury New Cassel Health Center located at 682 Union Avenue in Westbury.

“These days convenience is of the utmost importance with so many people struggling financially,” Legislator Abrahams said. “Having a location in Westbury to drop-off documents will save people time and reduce the travel expenses they’d spend to get to the Health and Human Services office in Uniondale.”

Documents can be brought to the Westbury New Cassel Health Center Monday to Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Experienced Social Services staff will be on-site to accept documents, answer general questions, and hand out applications for assistance. The Nassau Health Care Corporation has partnered with Social Services to create this first out station in Westbury. There will soon be additional DSS document drop-off sites in Roosevelt, Elmont, Glen Cove, Hempstead and Long Beach.
