(FREEPORT, NY) – Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Freeport), together with legislators Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) and Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin), are hosting a special event entitled, “SANDY” Recovery & Relief Information at Freeport Memorial Library on Monday, Nov. 26, from 7-9 p.m.
Nassau County residents seeking guidance following “Super-Storm Sandy” will receive important information and materials to help recover successfully and safely. Attendees can obtain information on home, car, renters insurance, reimbursements, generators, flooding and other storm-related emergencies.
Representatives from county, state and federal agencies who are invited to speak include: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), HUD, OEM, CERT, LI CARES, Island Harvest, New York State Department of Labor, Nassau County Department of Social Services (DSS), Nassau County Health Department, American Red Cross – LI Chapter, National Grid, Small Business Administration, local Town and Village officials and many others.
Residents are asked to call our Storm Information Hotline at 516-571-2455 with any additional questions, issues or concerns they would like addressed related to “Super-Storm Sandy.”
