Nassau County Legislators Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin) and Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) attended the 106th annual installation dinner held last week for the South Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department. During the festivities at the Rockville Links in Rockville Centre, the Department’s new Chief, Michael Spatz, was welcomed as outgoing Chief Michael Voonoh was thanked for his exemplary service. Special recognition was given to Frank Degan who has given 60 years of service to the Department and our community.
