(HEMPSTEAD, NY) – Nassau County Legislator Siela A. Bynoe (D-Westbury) would like to inform constituents about two upcoming financial aid seminars, provided by Project Grad LI and United Way of Long Island.
There are two sessions scheduled to take place at Hofstra University (1000 Fulton Avenue, Hempstead). The first is on Tuesday, March 18, from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Student Center – East Multipurpose Room; the second, Saturday, March 22, from 10am – 1 p.m. at the Student Center – West Multipurpose Room.
These FREE workshops will assist parents and students in completing the application for college financial aid (FAFSA), a process that can be overwhelming. The FAFSA is necessary if you want to apply for federal and state grants, loans, college scholarships and more. All students attending the sessions will receive college resource materials and will be entered into a drawing for a $500 scholarship.
