Nassau County Legislators Howard J. Kopel and Denise Ford invite you to a community forum on May 21st, where FEMA and New York State representatives will be available to assist residents recovering from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Topics include programs available to residents who are rebuilding their homes, such as the Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) Program and NY Sandy Helps-NY Rising Recovery Program.
“Many residents are seeking information about Superstorm Sandy Assistance programs for those who sustained damage from the storm,” said Legislator Ford. “Countless people are still displaced and haven’t been given any information about assistance. This forum will help residents get access to the applications and assistance programs offered by FEMA and NYS.”
“We urge any Oceanside resident who has a question or a concern about Sandy relief to stop in and speak with the FEMA and NYS representatives because no one should miss out on the assistance they deserve,” said Legislator Kopel.
The forum will be at 7 PM on May 21st, at the Oceanside Library, located on 30 Davison Avenue. All are welcome to attend.
