Legislator Ford Will Host Two Hurricane Preparedness Forums

The Northeast hurricane season began on June 1st and continues through November 30th.  The best way to protect your family and pets during a major storm or emergency is to be prepared ahead of time.

Legislator Denise Ford, along with representatives from the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management and local emergency personnel, will be holding two forums regarding Hurricane Preparedness.

Please make an effort to attend one of these important forums to learn what should be done in case of a natural disaster.  Remember, although we cannot prevent hurricanes, we can certainly prepare for them and creating an emergency plan ahead of time for you and your family will help you stay organized.

These very important forums will be conducted at:

Long Beach Public Library

111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach

Tuesday, August 16 • 7:00 pm

Island Park Library
