Make Your Voice Heard

Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford would like to inform you of an important meeting where you can make your voice heard on a decision facing Americans about pandemic influenza vaccines.

Experts say chances of a deadly worldwide outbreak of flu are increasing. Early in such an outbreak, the United States will lack an adequate supply of vaccine. Should this situation arise, it leads to difficult decisions about how to distribute a limited supply of vaccine. Your help is needed in this decision-making process regarding how to best prioritize the distribution of vaccine.

The meeting is being sponsored by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), and The Keystone Center, in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the New York and Nassau County health departments.
