Mangano and Kopel: Superstorm Sandy Victim Peter's Clam Bar Reopen with Ceremony

It has been six months since Superstorm Sandy reached Long Island shores and devastated thousands of homes and businesses. As we struggle to rebuild we must take pride in the many accomplishments that come to pass. To that end, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Nassau County Legislator Howard Kopel helped celebrate the Grand Reopening of Peter's Clam Bar in Island Park. Peter’s Clam Bar was devastated by Superstorm Sandy and has been rebuilding ever since with the help of the County’s LEADS program.

“Rebuilding is still taking place but I know that we will rebuild better and stronger!” said County Executive Mangano. “I would like to thank the owners of Peter’s Clam Bar; Dominick DeSimone and Angelo Remuni for allowing me to participate in this extraordinary day. I am proud that Nassau County could help get this top notch restaurant back up and running!”
