Announce the Creation and Implementation of
The R.E.A.C.H. Program
(Return Every Adult & Child Home)
The Nassau County Police Department has launched its REACH (Return Every Adult and Child Home) Program for Nassau residents. This new and innovative program provides a registry for individuals who suffer from a cognitive disorder (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, Autism, etc.) should they go missing.
When law enforcement is notified of a missing loved one, the NCPD will disseminate a photo and pertinent information to the NCPD’s Real Time Intel (RTI) system. RTI is designed to deliver timely intelligence into the hands of those in the operational side of law enforcement and it can be viewed in every precinct, squad, patrol car, and many villages.
County Executive Mangano says, “The R.E.A.C.H. Program provides our law enforcement with key information and a visual image to help return our loved ones should they go missing. Register today!”
“Little compares to the heartbreak of a missing loved one. This proactive program is designed to give families additional protection for their loved ones and to save lives”, added Legislator Kopel.
Additionally, the media will be notified and the search information will be disseminated through the County’s Silver Alert program.
