LEGISLATOR NICOLELLO HONORS EAST WILLISTON DEPUTY MAYOR BONNIE PARENTE

At the 15th Annual Nassau County Legislature’s Women of Distinction Awards, Legislator Richard Nicolello honored East Williston Deputy Mayor, Bonnie Parente. Ms. Parente was recognized for her dedicated service to the public both in her capacity as Deputy Mayor and the work she has done for the many volunteer organizations that she is associated with.

Ms. Parente is a member of the Wings of Winthrop and Mercy League. She is a leader active in her children’s Scout Troops. Ms. Parente, an attorney who has practiced in the area of labor and employment law, recently opened a law office in Mineola. After Hurricane Sandy, she volunteered her legal services to help people in need obtain the governmental assistance that they were entitled to.

Legislator Nicolello stated: “Bonnie is a wonderful example of a woman who achieves that most difficult balance of dedication to her family while pursuing her excellence in her profession and service to the public.  I am proud to recognize her as a woman of distinction and accomplishment”

Bonnie and her husband Kevin are the proud parents of Emma and Kevin, Jr. Also in attendance for the ceremony were Bonnie’s parents Pat and Lou Santosus, her sister Patti, nephew Grayson, and community leaders John Ferro and Paul May.
