Legislator Richard J. Nicolello invites you and your children to a fun historical program presented by the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. The “History Alive! Hands-On History” program challenges children and their parents to go back in time and discover what life was like before video games and technology. Children and parents can learn what life was like in the 1800’s by churning their own butter, carding wool and participating in many other hands-on activities. All will surely be amazed to see what life was like here on Long Island just a few generations ago! “I encourage people of all ages to come explore and enjoy Long Island’s history,” said Legislator Nicolello.
The program runs most Sundays in April and May from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, call 516-572-8400.
