Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr. invites all teens and parents to attend a special program

“Driving In The Safe Lane”

Wednesday, September 23, 2009 - 7:00-8:00pm

Levittown Memorial Educational Center

150 Abbey Lane, Levittown

Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne would like all parents and teen drivers to attend an informational one-hour presentation to help improve teen driving safety.  Driving in the Safe Lane will be presented by the Community Parent Center and the Nassau Pediatric Society.  Funded by the Allstate Foundation, the program is designed to reduce teen crashes and save lives through parent/teen awareness and education.

THE FUN AND INFORMATIVE PROGRAM INCLUDES INFORMATION ON:

• ADDRESSING SAFETY MEASURES AND RECOMMENDING PARENTAL GUIDELINES •

• REVIEWING STATE DRIVING LAWS AND PARENTAL LIABILITY •

• PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT RISKY BEHAVIORS AND ADOLESCENT DEVELOPMENT •

• DISCUSSING AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE OPTIONS FOR TEENAGE DRIVERS •

• DISTRIBUTING INFORMATIONAL PACKETS PROMOTING SAFE DRIVING •
