Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) recently welcomed DECA students Ian Bernstein, Ellie Brandon, sitting, and teachers Sue Rachel and Lindsay Mandell, standing, of Plainview Old Bethpage High School at her legislative office. The high school students stopped by to speak to an elected official as part of their DECA membership requirements. While speaking to Legislator Jacobs they asked her to obtain an additional street sign for Washington Avenue in Plainview and name it "Enterprise Way." The students also discussed the DECA fundraisers that they organized to help their community.
“In these difficult economic times it is reassuring to know that the future generation has dedicated themselves to innovative economic stimulus courses like the efforts these teenagers accomplished by fundraising to help their community,” said Legislator Jacobs.
