Legislator Jacobs Attends Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Legislator Judy Jacobs, (D-Woodbury) attended and Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Matthew Herman, on Sunday, June 5 at the good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plainview. For his Eagle Scout project, Matthew led a group of scouts in clearing away brush and building a fence to surround the organic farm at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration in Old Bethpage. Matthew has been active in Quiz Bowl and the Model UN Club in high school where he will be graduating in June. He is part of the scouting honor society Order of the Arrow and has served as the librarian and secretary of Troop 423. Matthew will be attending Oneonta this fall.
