Legislator Jacobs Hosts Assessment Grievance Workshop

Legislator Judy Jacobs, (D-Woodbury) held her annual Free Workshop to help residents apply for correction of their property tax assessment. This workshop was held at St. Edward’s the Confessor Church in Syosset. Helen McQueen, a representative from the Assessment Review Commission was available to explain how the Commission values a home based on its current fair market value.
