Legislator Jacobs Hosts Women's Health Forum at Syosset Library

Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury), in honor of May being National Women’s Health Month, hosted a Women’s Health Forum at the Syosset Library on Wednesday, May 5th. The guest speaker was Dr. Neeta Shah, the Vice President of Women’s Health of the North Shore/LIJ Health System. She focused on the importance of women taking charge of their health and urged those present to feel empowered stating, “It’s your time….take charge.” The discussion focused on all aspects of health and vitality. A woman in the audience Jean Aragona-Korosh was thrilling to listen to, said Jacobs. She is 90 years old and Dr. Shah said that she needed her to go with her on her speaking engagements as a living example of someone who followed all the rules of good health.
