Legislator Walker Attends Ceremony to Honor Fallen Correction Officers

Nassau County Legislator Rose Marie Walker joined other elected officials at a solemn ceremony at the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department Memorial Monument to honor the fallen Correction Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as remembering Officers who have died while in active service with the Sheriff’s Department.

This event, hosted by the Board Members of the Nassau County Sheriff’s COBA Widow’s and Children’s Fund commemorates National Correctional Officers Week, which is designated as the first week in May.
