THE NASSAU COUNTY LEGISLATURE
WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING
 ON
THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2014 AT 1:00 P.M.
IN RELATION TO

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK TO ENACT AND THE GOVERNOR TO APPROVE AN ACT TO AMEND THE VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW, THE PUBLIC OFFICERS LAW, AND THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL LAW, IN RELATION TO ESTABLISHING IN THE COUNTIES OF NASSAU AND SUFFOLK A DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM IMPLEMENTING SPEED VIOLATION MONITORING SYSTEMS IN SCHOOL SPEED ZONES BY MEANS OF PHOTO DEVICES, AND IN RELATION TO PHOTO SPEED VIOLATION MONITORING SYSTEMS IN SCHOOL SPEED ZONES IN THE CITY OF NEW YORK; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF SUCH PROVISIONS UPON EXPIRATION THEREOF. 129-14(CE)

As per the Nassau County Fire Marshall’s Office, the Legislative Chamber has a maximum occupancy of 251 people and the outer chamber which will stream the meeting live, has a maximum occupancy of 72. Passes will be distributed on a first come first served basis beginning one half hour before the meeting begins.
