How to Obtain a Copy of Your Deed

Certified copies of deeds recorded at the County Clerk’s Office can be easily obtained by coming into the office to do a search or submitting a request by mail (see below).

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9 am to 4:30 pm

Tuesday: 9 am to 7 pm

*please try to arrive no later than 4pm as we are unable to research or process any transactions after 4:30pm

 

Whether your request is in person or by mail you will need:

 Your property section, block & lot numbers (located on your tax bill)

 The fee for certified copies is:

$5 in Person
$10 by mail (includes $5 search fee)

Mail in a request for a copy of your deed

Document Fees
Certified Copy	$5.00, $1.25 for each additional page over 4
Copies in person	.25 cents per page when using microfiche, microfilm, photocopy machine or public computers (copy card required). Extra charge to certify (see above)
Copies by mail	$10.00 (includes $5 search fee) Please include self-addressed envelope

Map Room

The map room maintains maps of every section, block and lot in Nassau County. Condominium, Co-op and Wetlands maps are also available.

The map room is located in the basement. Map room hours are Monday - Friday from 9am - 10:00am and 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Please see the staff in B-1 for assistance.
