Catch County Clerk O’Connell on ‘Meet the Leaders’

            (Mineola, NY)  You can see Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell on Cablevision’s ‘Meet the Leaders’ airing throughout March and April on Channel 18.  The show will also be available through Cablevision’s On Demand news and World under the Local on Demand section. Clerk O’Connell and host Patrick Halpin discuss the Nassau County Clerk Veterans Recognition Program.  This program offers veterans who record their discharge papers (DD-214) free of charge with the Clerk’s Office discount to participating business throughout the county.  They also talk about various types of scams the Clerk’s Office has been seeing, including deed solicitations sent to area homeowners offering to purchase deeds on their behalf for up to 1000% more than the Clerk’s Office fees, and things residents can do to try and avoid such scams and protect themselves.
