The Nassau County Leisure Pass identifies its holder as a Nassau County resident and is required for entry into many recreational facilities. The pass also provides residents with discounts to pools, skating rinks, golf courses, tennis courts, beaches, marinas and cabanas operated by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums. In general, a Leisure Pass is required of residents 13 years of age and older. Youngsters who utilize county-operated golf courses, regardless of age, must have a Leisure Pass.
Specially marked Leisure Passes are offered to senior citizens and persons who have chronic physical or mental disabilities (medical documentation is required before a passport for the disabled can be issued). Senior Citizen Passes remain valid for as long as county residency is maintained; however, residency must be validated every three years. Disabled Leisure Passes must be revalidated every three years. For all others, the pass remains valid for three years from effective date.
The Leisure Pass fee is $25.
